We have spared no expense to provide our guests with the most dependable medium to heavy rigs. We are going after BIG fish here. Normally not targeted in these waters, large tuna and bill fish can hide no more. Nevertheless, we consider big game bites precious, and we want to give our guests the best chance at bringing meat onto the deck.
Whether you’re a seasoned angler or a first timer, our staff will help you settle into a discipline that will increase your chances of a successful day. Fish are never guaranteed, but setting you up for SUCCESS is our #1 priority. Remember, our Captain and crew are ”old school” Balinese fishermen, and they know the subtleties of, not only the fishing grounds, but also every season.
As with most Deep Sea fishing Charters, the “catch” belongs to the Captain, and it is at his sole discretion to distribute the days yield.....BUT DONT WORRY.....Captain Komang is a generous soul. We assure you that if edible fish is brought on board, your group won’t go hungry.
Steeped in ancient traditions, both in the villages and on the sea, most consider Amed to be the very soul of Bali. Lush mountainous coastlines dappled by numerous coral rich half moon bays that double as underwater playgrounds for scuba divers from all over the world. Gazing back upon Amed from the sea, however, is where she shines brightest. Volcanically active Mount Agung as her backdrop, Amed‘s emerald hills elevate and forbear the region‘s tropical clouds leaving the climate here relatively arid.
The Amed coastline has another very important characteristic (at least when it comes to fishing). The shores here mark the western boundaries of the Wallace Line....a faunal boundary between Bali and Lombok theorized to be due to extremely fast moving ocean currents through this relatively gaunt stretch of open ocean. Some of the fastest ocean currents on the planet roll through here assuring rich feeding grounds for the large game fish we are after.
. . .in this life from many things. Sylvia Mae is our’s. She is a 13.5 meter (44 feet) scarab hull enclosed sky bridge convertible fishing yacht, custom built for the owners with a single mission; CATCH BIG FISH. Our fishing grounds are minutes from the harbor, but the Sylvia Mae has plenty of “reach” if we need to chase species a little further out.
Equipped with the latest mapping and fish finding sonar. Our CHIRP traditional sonar provides crystal-clear images with remarkable target separation. We can achieve nearly photographic images of what passes below and beside our boat with CHIRP ClearVü and CHIRP SideVü scanning sonars. We use built-in Wi-Fi to pair with the ActiveCaptain app for smart notifications, access to Quickdraw Contours Community data and more. Guests can link up to our Sonar display, and view what the captain sees right from their smart phones.
Bring a GOOD sunscreen, rash guard, hat, face wrap, gloves, etc.
If you desire additional (or specific) nourishment, favorite beverages (other than beer and water), bring ‘em.
Wrap around style sunglasses work best. Eye protection is worn in the cockpit AT ALL TIMES for your safety.
Well, that depends on when you would like to go fishing. You can see, on this chart, that we have a very balanced fishing year peaking between April and November. A true angler, however, appreciates the challengers that the shoulder seasons provide. If you have the ability to “adjust” your visit to Bali, and have a specific species in mind, we provided this chart to help you plot your triumph.
Send us a message if you have any questions about our Charters and/or services. We'll aim to get back to you very shortly.
